Canadian School Bahrain Organizes Charitable and Volunteer Initiatives During Ramadan
In the spirit of giving and community solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan, Canadian School Bahrain (CSB) launched a series of impactful charitable and volunteer initiatives involving students and their families. These initiatives aimed to strengthen the values of compassion, generosity, and social responsibility within the school community and the wider Bahraini society.
As part of these efforts, students—supported by their parents—donated food packages and iftar meals to dozens of underprivileged families. The initiative was organized in collaboration with the Bahrain Trust Foundation, reflecting CSB’s deep commitment to fostering a culture of giving.
Led by the “Hand by Hand” Club and the Student Council, students worked together to prepare and distribute 100 food boxes, each filled with essential items for families in need. These efforts were made possible thanks to the generous contributions from the CSB community, which embodied the spirit of compassion that defines Ramadan.
In another meaningful act of kindness, students partnered again with Bahrain Trust to distribute daily iftar meals throughout the month, reinforcing a love for volunteerism and strengthening empathy, teamwork, and civic responsibility.
Additionally, the “Hand by Hand” Club and Student Council organized a special iftar gathering on campus, where students came together to break their fast and later performed Taraweeh prayers in a warm, spiritual atmosphere of unity and brotherhood.
These charitable activities serve as a core part of CSB’s mission to nurture students who are not only academically strong but also socially conscious and engaged in their communities.
Mrs. Mariam Al Kooheji, Head of the Executive Committee at CSB, emphasized the significance of these initiatives, saying:
“At Canadian School Bahrain, we believe in instilling the values of generosity, compassion, and community service in our students. These projects reflect the spirit of Bahraini society and highlight the school’s role in shaping well-rounded individuals who understand the importance of giving back.”
She added:
“We actively encourage students and their families to take part in these meaningful experiences. Through hands-on involvement in organizing and delivering support to those in need, students develop leadership skills, organizational abilities, and a strong sense of social responsibility. Volunteerism becomes not just an activity—but an essential part of their educational journey.”
Through these thoughtful programs, Canadian School Bahrain continues to inspire a generation of students who are empathetic, responsible, and committed to making a positive difference—both within their local communities and beyond.
