The Middle School at the Canadian School Bahrain (Grades 5–9) provides students with a dynamic learning environment that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth. Through a balanced curriculum based on the BC curriculum, students are encouraged to become independent learners and confident communicators.

Besides Literacy and Numeracy which continue to be the core of learning, students will develop their critical and creative thinking skills through Social Studies and Science, Bahraini Citizenship, Islamic Studies and the Arabic Language.

How We Teach
Middle School teachers use inquiry-based learning, project-based learning (PBL), collaborative activities, and differentiated instruction to engage students in meaningful learning experiences. Students are encouraged to ask questions, investigate real-world problems, and apply their knowledge across subjects.
At CSB, learning often includes group projects, STEM activities, presentations, debates, hands-on experiments, and technology-enhanced lessons that develop critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A Day in the Life
A typical day begins with Homeroom, followed by a variety of academic classes including English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Learning is interactive and student-centered, with opportunities for collaboration, independent work, technology use, and participation in school-wide activities and events.

- VEX Robotics Competition: A STEM-focused competition where students design, build, and program robots to solve engineering challenges, fostering teamwork, innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
