CSB Students Connect with Moroccan Community in a Unique Educational Journey
An enriching educational, recreational, and humanitarian experience deepens students’ knowledge and global awareness
As part of its commitment to enhancing students’ learning experiences, the Canadian School Bahrain (CSB) organized an inspiring volunteer trip to a partner school in the Kingdom of Morocco. The initiative, held in collaboration with the Bahrain Trust Foundation, aimed to ignite curiosity and promote cross-cultural exchange in alignment with CSB’s inquiry-based educational approach.
This unique visit offered students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wide range of educational, recreational, social, and humanitarian programs, designed to enrich their knowledge and cultivate both individual skills and teamwork—two essential pillars of the learning process.
During the trip, students visited several cultural and historical landmarks, engaging in discussions that enhanced their critical thinking, appreciation of global heritage, and dialogue skills. These experiences support the school’s vision of nurturing a spirit of peaceful coexistence and acceptance of others, in line with national efforts to promote tolerance and mutual respect.
A key highlight of the trip was the students’ participation in packing food boxes for underprivileged families, an activity that instilled in them a strong sense of personal and social responsibility, and reinforced the value of giving back to the community.
The journey concluded with guided cultural tours and educational programs, offering students deeper insights into Moroccan culture and strengthening their global perspectives.
Reflecting on the experience, Mrs. Mariam Abdulghaffar Al Kooheji, Head of the Executive Committee at CSB, expressed her pride in the initiative, stating:
“This trip was a unique opportunity to broaden our students’ horizons while reinforcing their sense of social responsibility and global citizenship. We are committed to nurturing a generation that thinks critically, creatively, and is well-equipped to face global challenges.”
She added:
“We believe that enhancing education through cultural exchange and volunteerism can make a real difference in students’ lives, helping them understand the world around them in a more meaningful way.”
Mrs. Al Kooheji also emphasized that the school will continue to organize such initiatives, underlining the importance of building bridges between students of diverse backgrounds and fostering values of mutual respect and cooperation.
Through this initiative, Canadian School Bahrain reaffirms its dedication to developing essential life skills, equipping students with the adaptability, confidence, and empathy needed to thrive in an ever-changing world and make a positive impact in both their local and global communities.
