Arabic Department Programmes
CSB’s Arabic Department offers a continuum of learning in National Subjects and Arabic
Language, providing a safe, nurturing environment where students build strong foundations
in language, identity, values, and citizenship from Grade 1 to Grade 11.
Programme Overview
The National Subjects and Arabic Language Programme builds core language skills,
strengthens national identity, and nurtures social and emotional development through
engaging, values-based learning experiences.

يبني برنامج المواد الوطنية واللغة العربية مهارات اللغة الأساسية، ويعزز الهوية
الوطنية، وينمّي الجوانب الاجتماعية والانفعالية للطلبة من خلال تجارب تعلم
قيمية وتفاعلية.
- تنمية مهارات الاستماع والتحدث والقراءة والكتابة باللغة العربية.
- مواءمة مناهج الوزارة مع معايير منهج مقاطعة بريتش كولومبيا.
- دمج مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين والتفكير الناقد.
- تعزيز الهوية الوطنية والمواطنة الإيجابية لدى الطلبة.
Tracks of Study
Two complementary tracks respond to students’ diverse linguistic backgrounds while
ensuring high standards in language, values, and academic achievement.
- Track for Arabic-speaking students implementing Ministry of Education curricula in
Arabic, Islamic Education and Quran, Social Studies and Citizenship. - Track for non-Arabic-speaking students (ALL) based on ACTFL standards for Arabic as
a second language. - Use of active learning, inquiry, and project-based learning to connect concepts to
real life. - Differentiated pathways that respect individual starting points and progression.
مسارات الدراسة
يقدّم القسم مسارين متكاملين يستجيبان للخلفيات اللغوية المتنوعة للطلبة، مع ضمان
معايير عالية في اللغة والقيم والإنجاز الأكاديمي.
- مسار الطلبة الناطقين بالعربية وفق مناهج وزارة التربية والتعليم في اللغة
العربية، والتربية الإسلامية والقرآن الكريم، والدراسات الاجتماعية والتربية
للمواطنة. - مسار الطلبة غير الناطقين بالعربية (ALL) وفق معايير المجلس الأمريكي لتدريس
اللغات الأجنبية لتعليم العربية لغة ثانية. - اعتماد التعلم النشط والاستقصاء والتعلم القائم على المشروعات لربط المعرفة
بالحياة الواقعية. - مسارات تعليمية تراعي الفروق الفردية ومستويات التقدم اللغوي.
Key Features & Experiences
Students experience a rich programme that blends academics, values, technology, and
leadership opportunities inside and beyond the classroom.
- Daily practices that nurture belonging, including the national anthem and congregational
prayer. - Flagship projects such as the Bahraini Terms Dictionary and Creative Pens Initiative.
- Participation in Arab Reading Challenge, National Day, Garangao, and humanitarian
projects through the Hand in Hand Club. - Integration of digital platforms, podcasts, and generative AI to enhance teaching and
assessment.
