The Learning Support Department at Canadian School Bahrain supports students in Grades 1 to 12 with a range of learning needs through responsive, student-centred support that strengthens academic, social, and emotional success.

Our department works with students who benefit from individual support, small-group instruction, targeted intervention, and structured planning that helps them access learning with greater confidence and success. Support is provided through specialist teams in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Arabic Language.

At CSB, learning support is grounded in partnership. Teachers, specialists, students, and families work together to identify needs, set goals, monitor progress, and ensure that each learner receives thoughtful and appropriate support.

Through this collaborative approach, students are supported not only in their academic growth, but also in their wellbeing, confidence, independence, and sense of belonging within the school community.

Responsive support for diverse learning needs

The Learning Support Department supports students from Grades 1 to 12 who have different levels of learning needs. Support may be provided through individual instruction or in small groups, depending on each student’s profile and level of need.

Instruction is delivered by Learning Support teams who work closely with classroom teachers and families to create a responsive, supportive, and practical learning pathway for each student. This helps students receive the right level of assistance while remaining connected to the wider school experience.

In addition to English Learning Support for English and Mathematics, CSB also provides Arabic support for Arabic Language. This allows the department to respond more fully to the linguistic and academic needs of students across the curriculum.
